It's a very soft suade you will be able to see a long toe nail through it. I'm between 81/2 and 9 I sized up to nine and it's a little big but it's still wearable. It does have a collapsible heel, it's simple enough to be dressed up or down. I will say it gets dirty FAST. Definitely keep a suede eraser with these. Not much support but still comfy and slightly cushiony
