Washing and drying has not impacted the softness in 4 months. The hip will stretch out to fit you better over time. If you have to do a lot of bending over, picking up, or cleaning like I do at my job then these are a fantastic option. cheap enough they can be replaced easily if needed, can be thrown in the wash without issue, are durable, and look nice! Love these pants for work at the hospital! They hang beautifully and they never cling because the fabric has a great weight to them. I will say size DOWN. I'm typically a large and I bought a medium. Still a little loose in the waist so I'm actually thinking of buying a small to see if that's better. Can't recommend enough once you get the sizing right!
