when I looked at this online I considered it's description and didn't believe it would be extremely heavy duty or anything like that, but it feels more like a placemat or something you would sit next to the door to put your shoes on, or maybe line potted plants on outside. it's very thin and lightweight. it's pretty I like the way it looks, and it fits on a step which is what I wanted. And you can get the sand off your shoes before you go up your stairs, which is good but even a light wind blew it off the step. I believe over time it will straighten out enough to stay in place. I don't really recommend it unless you are looking for something pretty to just use as a type of placemat outside or beside your door.
