Slightly less wattage than other compact heaters of this type. 550W opposed to 700w. But I'm certain it somehow gives out as much if not more heat than the 700w heater that's basically the same size. Bought to use in smallish dozes in the camper so the wattage saving is significant. Nice heat and thermostat control. Simple but effective

I do not have central heat in my home. I have had a larger version of this I purchased years ago when I worked at Walmart and was stocking shelves. I was not aware that there was such a safe space heater available. It is still working after 10 years. I is radiant and the heat is gentle and my 6 cats compete for the favored spots near these 2 heaters. I takes a while to get things warm, but when it does, it stays warm. And I can sleep peacefully knowing it will not tip over and burn my house down. I shuts off.
