I do love this little guy. It does a pretty good job with cleaning the carpet. It detects the majority of obstacles... it will run over a loose cable or cord though. While it looks like it is going to get stuck, don't be fooled this guy navigates tight spaces like crazy I created a trap for it using a computer desk chair and a wall and turned the bottom of the chair to create an enclosed area with an opening just large enough for it to get in. It managed to vacuum under the chair and while I was thinking it was stuck, nope! with some ninja gyro skills it navigated its way through. However, I gave it one less star because I think it got tired of its job and was climbing an unfinished balcony in the loft which has a sheer drop down the stairs. So, not sure if it would have plummeted if I didn't intervene but it was extremely too close for comfort. It maps through walls so it should have realized that there was a straight drop on the otherside of the lip. it was climbing. It is multilevel so it can climb small cliffs between floors. It did map the stairs though and registers them so I am unsure if it would have jumped that cliff or not. But it was too close for my comfort. I will make that addition a priority now that I know it will climb that.

The robot vac is an OK product. It has difficulty handling power cords on the floor. When it completes a job and heading back to a job, it can't find an optimized route. The Roborock app is not very user friendly. It won't let the user define a default cleaning mode that the user prefers. And it doesn't let you save a cleaning routine for future use. And it doesn't support map backup/restore. And there are bugs in the software. Hope the company will spend some resources to improve its software and its QA.
