Swanson high quality Acetyl L-Carnitine helps maintain healthy neurological function by delivering antioxidant protection throughout the entire nervous system. This unique ester of the amino acid L-carnitine also plays a key role in energy production for optimal brain function, particularly focus and attention. Muscles throughout your body need this energy as well to grow stronger as you exercise. Your brain uses this energy to maintain healthy functions like neurotransmitter production. Acetyl L-carnitine is also needed for cellular membrane integrity and is used by the body in cognitive processes such as learning and memory. Acetyl L-carnitine, sometimes abbreviated ALCAR, supports the health of your cells through its role in cellular energy production, mitochondrial support and cellular metabolism. It also supports detoxification mechanisms which contribute to liver health which in turn bolsters nutrient use throughout the body. Clean Mental Energy & Focus Boost
I've been taking this Acetyl L Carnitine daily, and the difference in my mental clarity is noticeable. I feel more alert and focused, especially in the mornings. It gives me a clean, natural lift without any jittery or stimulant-like affects. If you're looking for something to support brain fog and overall mental energy, this is definitely worth trying. I'm really happy with the quality and consistency.

Really Essential for Heart Health
This is one of our heart health supplements we wouldn't be without. My husband has had many heart issues in the past so he takes a number of supplements like L-Carnitine to help his heart. He was off of it for a while, but since being back on it, he hasn't had any recurrences with his heart health. We attribute that to a number of factors, but L-Carnitine is probably one of them.

An Excellent Product for Multiple Functions
I have selected a collection of Swanson's brain nutrients to take daily, and have found that at age 83, I am far more calm, focused, organized and (except for NAMES which I couldn't remember well my entire life) my memory is far better than many people far younger. I surprise myself! I credit Swanson's nutrients for a major part of my good health and continued physical energy and strength. One of the fundamental inclusions in my brain and nervous system recipe is Acetyl L-Carnitine. It serves many functions and Swanson's has yet to let me down.
