Comfortable and keeps independence!

Terrific chair that has done exactly what I need it to do. In our house, we have a couple of people who have a hard time getting on their feet from a sitting position.  My mom and I are both under 5 feet so we aren't much of a help, but I do fear that we will injure ourselves one day trying to help.  This chair has now eliminated that need for my mom and I to help because it does all the lifting for us.  Remote is simple and easy to use, and it's very clear on how to get the chair to lift, recline, etc. Chair easily lifts and helps our family gently to their feet, which has also given independence and freedom back to our loved ones because they don't need to ask, wait, or depend on us to get them out of their chair and on their feet.  The chair is comfortable and the backing and seat have good cushion and shape. They're not overly plush, which is good because the firmness it has is why it works so well.  It's very comfortable to take a nap in, and I can't wait for the colder weather so I can nap in it in front of the fireplace.  Instructions indicate it's quick to put together. I put it together by myself and it took about 20 minutes, but I also triple-check every step when I build anything for the home so it would have been faster if I didn't keep checking my steps.  The chair isn't super heavy so I was able to move the box on my own by sliding it into the den where I assembled it.  The chair is, however, heavy enough that it is sturdy and I'm not concerned it is going to fall over or drop my loved one.  I got the gray one and the color is nice and neutral. Even better, it doesn't seem to attract and dog hair doesn't seem to stick to it. We're dog lovers so even if it did, it wouldn't bother us, but for those pet owners who might have concern about pet hair, this chair is great. (To give context, we have a Husky and Carolina Dog.) The dogs are about 70 lbs each and they both have curled up and slept in the chair too. Very happy with this chair, and I wish we'd gotten it sooner. Would have saved a lot of angst and anxiety about helping our loved ones stand up from a sitting position, as well as saved some of their pride and ability to stay independent.
