It's lightweight fleece, but it services the purchase to make tie fleece blankets. Since Joann's went out of business it's been difficult to find fleece material. Very happy that Walmart has expanded it's fabric department. It's quality merchandise and I am able to match the solid to the prints that I purchase. The price is decent, too.
