I was concerned at first when I unwrapped them to see them shrink wrapped and super thin, but they plumped up soon after unwrapping..... They are silky soft on the outside and bouncy in the middle, very plump but soft enough to form to my neck and head, I'm a side sleeper only, I also use one pillow on my sofa for my back, so comfy...... I tried to use a satin pillowcase, but the outside of the pillow is so silky itself it just kept sliding off, so I put a cotton one under it then added the satin one... I love these, to me they are even better than the hotel ones I've used at Best Western, Hampton Inns and Holiday Inns so far.... These will definitely come on my road trips.
