An Excellent Mid-Range card

The 5070 seems to get a lot of hate online, and I feel this comes down mostly to NVIDIA's poor marketing strategy. The claim that a 5070 with 12 GBs of VRAM could provide 4090 performance is laughable. That being said the 5070 provides excellent mid range performance, and for the asking price that's an excellent deal. I can play modern AAA titles at 1440P with medium ray-tracing and still get 70 to 80 FPS. If I want higher FPS, I can turn on DLSS or frame-generation, and I get well over 100 FPS. This card is a very basic model without any RGB, however it is a very solidly built card. This PNY model has a full metal backplate and runs super cool. While playing Assassin's Creed Shadows, it was at 98% utilization and only 60c. For the asking price of $599, at the time of purchase, this is an excellent purchase. Yes, it only has 12 GB's of VRAM, however I've never had any problems running high settings at 1440P in modern titles. If you try to use all 12 GB's it's definitely possible but it's not required for games to look good and play at a high FPS. Overall, if you're looking for a solid midrange GPU that can handle some light ray-tracing, and provide high FPS in modern AAA titles, look no further than the PNY RTX 5070.

Excellent PNY RTX 5070 OC triple fan

Excellent mid range GPU. Quite fans, includes a metal black plate. Beautiful visuals and smooth frame rate (native) on my 1440p 140hz monitor playing RE9! I recommend you pair it with a modern CPU (AM5) and at least 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I purchased it right before the DRAM shortage/price hikes of early 2026 ($549 tax). The GPU was purchased from Walmart (sold and shipped by Walmart).

Value is there, runs like a champ, software is meh

Only negative I can speak of is PNY's software. But I believe it's made more for the expensive models with RGB, etc. This one has no RGB at all, it's just a basic 5070. I had to replace a dying 2080ti without having to replace all my other system components. Luckily, this 5070 fit just fine and came with the needed Y power adapter cable to convert my two PCIE 6 pins to this required single 8 pin. Works fine in my "older" system. Obviously my CPU is going to be a major bottleneck but at least I have a functioning gaming PC again. And I'm still able to take advantage of most of the 5070 while in my rig. I've been able to max out games while running at 1440p, etc. No complaints, other than the software which I just uninstalled since I don't have RGB, don't need to mess with the fan settings, etc. We'll just have to see about the longevity. My EVGA (rip) 2080ti lasted for many years, hope to see this PNY do the same.
