I got this because I don't have plug ins on the outside of my house for electric cooling blankets. Also I was looking for a cheaper route. But this thing was so cheap it literally just a tiny blanket. It was made of that like smooth silky kind of fabric. There's no way this thing would "stay cool" outside. Maybe if I wet it and kept it in the shade? The stray cats i bought it for did not care for it. It was very small, too small for a kitten I'm looking after! A grown cat would really have to curl up on it. I do not recommended this.
