They fit my 9 month old nephew perfectly. He's very light sensitive like his dad. Yes, hats and sunshades help on sunny days, but he'd squint like his dad even if it wasn't bright. The danger with some sunglasses for infants and toddlers is that some are cheap and not 100% UV protection. These have 100% UV protection.
