This dehumidifier is awesome. It was super easy to set up and it works better than I thought it would. Within only a couple hours I could feel the difference in the air in our home. It is quieter than I thought it would be and it is super easy to dump the water out. I have not used the pump yet but I'm sure it works also. For the first 3 days I had it run continuously and was dumping the water 3 times a day. Now I only have to dump the water about 1 time per day. The auto defrost has kicked in a few times and works great and it always shuts itself off when the tank is full so no worrying about leaks. I haven't had it long enough to see how much it affects our electric bill (fingers crossed that it doesn't raise it too much). I wish I would have bought this sooner.

This dehumidifier replaces one that I had in operation for 6-7 years. These devices do not last forever due to limited life of a fan, evaporator, condenser, or humidistat. Because of this and comparing repair vs. replacement costs, it is just easier to purchase a new one. The manufacturer and model covers my home needs and has several features that I like, including portability on casters, a good-sized reservoir, timer, three fan speeds, and auto defrost. It operates well and does the job!
