They were very red and had tiny little bumps all over, it hurt to open my mouth, smile, talk, etc. After a couple of days of using this product, my lips were much better! My only complaint is that it developed an odd smell after a couple weeks of use, and I made sure to keep it clean.

I wish these items would stop going up in price so frequently- it is amazing that the items on the shelf which are NOT BRAND new to the store go up in price too often- I am finding that Aldi is doing this as well and when they all raise the price people will stop buying the items.
