VIZIO M-Series 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

Easy to set up! The soundbar is a HUGE upgrade to standard built in TV speakers and even to single soundbar setup. The soundbar has 3 channels (center, left, right) that sound great on their own but with the addition of a subwoofer and the extra 2 channels (left / right rear speakers) it pulls everything together for that immersive experience. I am not a sound expert or audiophile, so if you fit into this category, I am confident the experience that this Vizio 5.1 Soundbar will bring you is positive if you are looking to upgrade TV speakers or a single soundbar setup. Also note that you are able to set up the additional speakers in a rear setup or a front set-up, whichever makes most sense to your living space. Simply set them up how you want and change a setting (front surround or rear surround) and they will work similarly as well. One thing to note is that if you have an older TV that doesn't support arc or e-arc you may have trouble getting Dolby Atmos functioning. This isn't a deal breaker as the Atmos isn't "EARTHSHATTERING" at this price point but something to take note of if you like using all the features of your soundbar. I'd also like to mention that this soundbar works great with your home assistant such as Alexa. There is a dedicated Aux port on the back, this is a very nice feature as I have a much nicer sounding music experience without having to worry about separate speakers. The subwoofer is wireless to the soundbar, and the 2 extra speakers connect via wires to the subwoofer. The included for the extra speakers are long enough for most people I would say, but if you live in a very large house then maybe check the length of the cables before purchasing but I don't think many people will have that problem. I would guess the included cables are around 20-25 Feet. This soundbar comes with mounting hardware for everything! It really is a all-in-one solution for a quick and easy upgrade to your current soundbar or built in TV speakers. I highly recommend this soundbar setup to anyone who is upgrading from a single soundbar or standard TV speakers as you will be blown away by the sound quality. If you are an audiophile or sound junky, then maybe stick to your $5000 dollar plus setups.

This sound bar system punches way above its price category in terms of sound. High and mids are crisp and clear, and the virtualized Dolby Atmos is perfect for those who want the benefits of Atmos, but have vaulted or very high ceilings that would not facilitate Atmos with up firing speakers. The bass however, is slightly lacking. Vizio made the decision to downgrade this model to a 5" subwoofer from a 6" subwoofer in last year's model. The bass can still shake the room with the right notes, but it doesn't bring the level of thumping bass that I am used to from my previous sound systems, and doesn't hit super low notes quite as well as I would like. Overall, I'll probably still going to keep this system since everything other than the bass is fantastic. It still deserves a full 5-stars due to the price to performance ratio alone.
