Key item features

  • Bird Safe: Nectar Defender is inherently safe, using a trace micronutrient already consumed by hummingbirds in their natural diet, and is approved by university scientists and avian experts.
  • Long-Lasting Freshness: Protects nectar in hummingbird feeders for 2 weeks or more, even in hot weather, allowing you to change nectar less often and on your schedule.
  • Healthy Hummingbirds: Contains no dyes or artificial ingredients, ensuring no more cloudy or spoiled nectar, and providing fresh nectar every time for healthy, happy birds.
  • Easy to Use: Simply add one capful for every cup of nectar you use, eliminating the need to boil your nectar and offering a better alternative to ready-to-use nectar.
  • Homemade Nectar Recipe: To make your own nectar, mix 1/4 cup sugar with 1 cup water for each cup of nectar, then add a capful of Nectar Defender to each cup.

The Tried and True Nectar Defender

The Nectar Defender is an essential product for dedicated hummingbird enthusiasts, particularly those living in regions where high temperatures cause rapid nectar spoilage. It delivers exactly what it promises: a natural way to prolong the life of your nectar and reduce your maintenance schedule. Natural Preservative for Hummingbird Nectar

I use this to preserve the life of my hummingbird nectar. Keeps it fresh and cuts back on cleanings and refills. Hummingbirds do not detect it and continue to flock to my feeders.
