Better than the name brand!

One day, Walmart was out of my regular brand American cheese slices so I substituted for the great value brand. I can honestly tell you that it tastes better than the other brand I used to get which was Kraft. I have never switched back nor will I ever. It melts better and to me it is great for all of my cooking that requires American cheese. I'm very glad that this particular item beats the competition every time.. I make sandwiches grilled cheese. I put cheese in my scrambled eggs. It just melts beautifully.

Creamy texture and tastes great

My family loves these cheese slices. They don't even notice that they are the store brand. They are that good. I use the slices primarily for cold sandwiches but they also make a great grilled cheese. The cheese is creamy and a good source of calcium. I like to put a slice on my veggies (broccoli, cauliflower) and let it melt on top. Delicious! I also like to use them in my homemade Mac and cheese because of their creamy textured and they don't have an oily taste like other cheap brands do. My family and I recommend them.

Surprised by this!!!

I was very surprised by this cheese! There are certain things I am a stickler about when it comes to make brands. Sliced American cheese was one, for years. Decided to give this a try, and was shocked to discover that I actually PREFER it!! It melts wonderfully in a grilled cheese, as well as over steamed veggies. I'm sold!
