Solid rice brand!

Rice is a staple in our house. This brand is just as good as any other! The price point is right as well. I use it in all sorts of dishes. Making steamed rice for an Asian dish, or Mexican rice for tacos and burritos. I put it in a Tupperware as soon as I open it to keep anything going into my rice.

Great Rice at a Great Price!

I always buy the Great Value brand rice, and it's consistently good! It cooks up nicely, tastes great, and works perfectly for just about any meal. The quality is always reliable, and the price is hard to beat. I don't see any reason to spend more on a name brand when this one does the job just as well. Definitely a pantry staple in our house!

It's clean white rice with very few hull pieces and off colored or broken grains. It cooks up quickly at 1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water or broth. A bit of salt and a dab of butter add flavor and mouth appeal. Best if rinsed or briefly soaked first, it keeps the grains from getting gummy and clumping up. At half the price per ounce of jasmine or basmati rice, it is an affordable choice to more expensive options. Great as a side dish or added to soups and stews for a carbohydrate source.
