It came without instructions looked everywhere in the box, there was none. I built a computer chair before and being a knowledgeable person to compare, it was easy to do (replacing another computer chair). Easy is a vague term, rather the parts are easily to match (big screws for the large attachments, 4 only screws for arm rest and black screws for the covers. Comes with allen+X-shape-head L-shape tool driver). The only part that I have trouble with is the black screws to cover the metal hinges on the sides of the chair. One of the covers can't be attached, so that was not a great experience and look overall (top part hinge cover of the recliner lift side). But it functions well. Requires some maneuvering of the gas lift bottom and recliner lift-lock level to be ease of first time use. Other than that works great. Same goes with the foot rest or rather calves rest for people's height higher than 5'6 feet / 167.64 cm. The downside are the materials. If you are the sort of person who moves and fidgets around the chair then the Nylon+PVC material will fade off and torn apart maybe less than 6month if not year at most will deteriorate. So a fabric or any material cover will be necessary for long-term longevity of this chair. Returning large item, it is a huge hassle so I just keep it for now. The price I bought this went down which now a rollback price. Hard to say returning is worth another painful experience to disassembling it. HAHA~!
