Pool slippers are often called pool slides, shower shoes, or water sandals. You might also hear them referred to as flip flops or clogs depending on their style. These shoes are designed to be worn around pools, in locker rooms, or at the beach, and they typically feature non-slip soles and quick-drying materials. When shopping at Walmart, you’ll find a range of options under these names, each offering different features for comfort and safety around wet areas.

When choosing sandals for the pool, look for styles made from water-resistant materials like EVA or rubber. Features such as

By the pool, it’s smart to wear non-slip pool slippers, slides, or water shoes. These types of footwear help protect your feet from hot surfaces, rough pool decks, and slippery areas. Many pool slippers are lightweight, easy to slip on and off, and designed to dry quickly. If you’re looking for something for kids, options with adjustable straps or closed toes can offer extra security. Walmart’s selection includes styles for the whole family, making it easy to find something comfortable and practical for poolside fun.

Pool shoes are designed with textured, non-slip soles to help provide better grip on wet and slippery surfaces. Many styles use materials like EVA or rubber, which offer traction even when wet. Some pool slippers also feature drainage holes to keep water from pooling inside the shoe, reducing the risk of slipping. While these features can help improve safety, it’s still important to walk carefully around the pool area. Walmart offers a variety of pool shoes with these safety-focused designs for both adults and kids.

Cleaning pool slippers is usually simple. Most can be rinsed with water and mild soap, then air-dried. For slippers with removable insoles or extra cushioning, check the care instructions—some may be hand-wash only. Avoid using harsh chemicals or putting them in the washing machine unless the label says it’s safe. Regular cleaning helps keep your pool slippers fresh and extends their lifespan. If you’re shopping at Walmart, look for care tips on the product page or packaging for the best results.
