Choosing the right size for a packaway jacket is important for comfort and layering. Here are some tips:

• Check the size chart on the product page and compare it to your measurements.
• Consider what you'll wear underneath—if you plan to layer, you might want a slightly looser fit.
• Look for jackets labeled as "standard fit" or "relaxed fit" if you prefer more room.
• Read customer reviews for insights on whether the jacket runs large or small.

Trying on different sizes in-store can also help you find your best fit.

Packaway jackets are a great choice for travel because they're lightweight and easy to store. Benefits include:

• They fold into a compact pouch or pocket, saving space in your bag.
• Water-resistant or waterproof options help keep you dry in unpredictable weather.
• Many styles are designed for quick layering, making them versatile for changing climates.

Just remember to check the product details for features like hoods or extra pockets, which can add convenience on the go.

Cleaning your packaway jacket helps maintain its look and performance. Follow these general steps:

• Check the care label for specific washing instructions.
• Most can be machine washed on a gentle cycle with cold water.
• Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can affect water resistance.
• Hang to air dry or tumble dry on low if the label allows.

Spot cleaning with a damp cloth can help with minor stains between washes.

Packaway jackets often offer water-resistant or waterproof protection, but performance can vary. Consider these points:

• Water-resistant jackets can handle light rain or drizzle but may not keep you dry in heavy downpours.
• Waterproof options with sealed seams provide better protection for wet conditions.
• Look for features like adjustable hoods and storm flaps for extra coverage.

For extended exposure to heavy rain, pairing your jacket with an umbrella or additional rain gear can help keep you comfortable.

Storing your packaway jacket properly helps keep it in good shape. Here’s how:

• Use the included pouch or stuff sack if your jacket comes with one.
• If not, fold the jacket neatly and place it in a clean, dry bag.
• Avoid compressing it for long periods, as this can affect insulation in puffer styles.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Letting your jacket air out between uses can also help maintain its quality.
