Choosing the right frame size depends on what you're displaying. Measure your artwork, photo, or document first. For pieces with a mat, check both the mat opening and the outer frame size. If you're framing a canvas or thicker item, look for frames labeled as "open back" or "canvas-friendly." Many museum-quality frames list both the artwork size and the overall frame dimensions in their descriptions. When in doubt, bring your measurements with you and compare them to the product details for the best fit.

Many museum-quality frames are designed for versatility and can be hung vertically or horizontally.

• Check the product description for hanging options.
• Look for frames that include hardware for both orientations.
• Some open-back frames, especially those for canvases, may require additional hardware for wall mounting.

To keep your museum-quality frame looking its best:

1. Dust the frame gently with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster.
2. Avoid using water or cleaning sprays directly on the frame, especially if it has a hand-leafed or antique finish.
3. For glass or acrylic fronts, use a microfiber cloth and a cleaner made for that surface, applying the cleaner to the cloth—not the frame.

Museum-quality frames are a popular choice for diplomas and certificates because they offer both protection and a professional look.

• Many frames list common document sizes, making it easier to find a match.
• Some frames include mats to fit standard diploma sizes, while others are designed for custom documents.
• Look for acid-free mats and backing to help preserve your important papers over time.

It depends on the specific frame. Some museum-quality frames include glass or acrylic fronts for protection, while others—especially open-back or canvas frames—are designed without a front panel.

• Check the product details to see what's included.
• Frames without glass are often meant for oil paintings or canvases that don't need extra covering.
• If you need a protective front, look for frames that specify glass or acrylic in the description.
