Macrame can be a budget-friendly hobby, especially if you start with simple projects like valances. The main costs are cotton cord and basic tools, which are widely available. As you get more advanced, you might invest in specialty cords or beads, but you can always scale your projects to fit your budget. Many crafters find macrame rewarding because it’s customizable and you can create unique decor for your home. If you’re just starting out, you don’t need a big investment to enjoy making your own valances.

1. Measure your window to ensure the valance fits properly.
2. Choose a sturdy curtain rod that matches your decor style.
3. Slide the rod through the macrame valance’s pocket or loops.
4. Secure the rod in place using brackets.
5. Adjust the valance so it hangs evenly and covers the desired area.

Macrame valances are lightweight, so installation is usually quick and easy. If you want extra stability, consider using rod clips or hooks. Always follow the product instructions for best results.
