What does the sensor do?

It's all about convenience and control. You can command your Xbox and TV with Cortana, your personal gaming assistant. Navigate your console without lifting a finger, using voice commands to instantly capture screenshots and game clips and change TV channels and volume. You can play games where you are the controller. And you can make Skype calls in high definition.

How much space will the sensor take up?

The tilting, rectangular Kinect sensor head is 11x2.5x1.5 inches. The base is 3x3x1.5 inches. The cable sticks out from the back of the base. So the total height is around 3 inches, adding a little because the head tilts on its own and might require more space. Some users prefer a Kinect TV mount which lets you clip the sensor on top of your TV, freeing up space in front of the TV and preventing it from falling or getting moved around.

What electronics are Kinect compatible with?

Kinect is only compatible with the Xbox One. An Xbox Kinect Adapter is required for use with Xbox One S consoles and PCs.
