Choosing the right irrigation pipe size depends on your garden's layout and water needs.

• Measure the area you want to irrigate and estimate how much water you'll need.
• Smaller pipes (like 1/4 inch) are great for container gardens or raised beds, while larger pipes (1/2 inch or more) work well for bigger lawns or multiple zones.
• Check your water pressure—higher pressure can support longer runs and larger pipes.

Matching pipe size to your setup can help maximize efficiency and prevent leaks or bursts.

Soaker hoses and drip tubing both deliver water directly to plants, but they work a bit differently.

• Soaker hoses are porous and let water seep out along their length—ideal for garden beds and rows.
• Drip tubing uses emitters or holes to release water at specific spots, giving you more control for targeted watering.

Consider your garden’s layout and whether you want broad coverage or precise watering when choosing between them.

Yes, you can connect different irrigation pipes, but you'll need compatible fittings.

• Look for quick-connect or adapter fittings designed for your pipe sizes and materials.
• Make sure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
• Some systems allow linking soaker hoses or drip tubing for expanded coverage.

Always check the product instructions for safe and secure assembly, and avoid mixing incompatible materials.

Kinking can restrict water flow and cause damage.

• Lay pipes flat and avoid sharp bends when installing.
• Use flexible hoses or tubing designed to resist kinks.
• Secure pipes with stakes or clips to keep them in place.

Regularly check your setup and reposition pipes as needed to keep water flowing smoothly and extend their lifespan.

Proper storage helps keep your irrigation pipes in good shape for next season.

• Drain all water from pipes and hoses to prevent freezing and cracking.
• Coil pipes loosely and store them in a dry, sheltered spot away from direct sunlight.
• Check for any damage or wear before storing, so you’re ready for spring.

Taking these steps can help your irrigation pipes last longer and work reliably year after year.
