Choosing the right size cat tree depends on your cat's size, activity level, and the space available in your home. Here are a few tips:

• Measure your ceiling height to ensure the cat tree fits comfortably, especially for floor-to-ceiling models.
• Consider your cat's weight and agility. Larger or more active cats may need sturdier, multi-level towers.
• Check your available floor space and look for corner or wall-mounted options if space is limited.
• Think about multiple cats. If you have more than one, a larger tree with several perches and condos can help reduce competition.

Ceiling cat trees can be suitable for big cats if you choose a sturdy, well-constructed model. Look for features like:

• Thick, reinforced posts for stability.
• Wide platforms and condos that can support heavier weights.
• Secure ceiling tension rods or mounting hardware to prevent tipping.

Always follow the assembly instructions and periodically check for loose parts to help keep your cat safe during play and rest.

Keeping your cat tree clean helps maintain a healthy environment for your pet. Here’s how you can do it:

• Vacuum regularly to remove fur and debris from platforms, condos, and hammocks.
• Spot clean stains with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe detergent. Avoid soaking the material.
• Wipe down sisal posts with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust.
• Check for wear and tear and tighten any loose screws or fittings.

Always let surfaces dry completely before allowing your cat to use the tree again.

Most floor-to-ceiling cat trees are designed to be adjustable and can be relocated if needed. To move one safely:

• Disassemble the tension rod or mounting mechanism according to the instructions.
• Carefully transport each section to the new location.
• Reassemble and adjust the height to fit the new ceiling.

Always check for stability after moving and tighten all connections before letting your cat use the tree again.

Cats love cat trees with a mix of play, rest, and scratching options. Popular features include:

• Multiple platforms for climbing and lounging.
• Condos or hideaways for privacy and naps.
• Sisal-wrapped scratching posts to satisfy scratching instincts.
• Hammocks, baskets, or hanging toys for extra fun and comfort.

Choosing a tree with varied features can help keep your cat entertained and active indoors.
