To find the right burner element for your stove, check your appliance's model number, usually found on a label inside the oven door or under the cooktop. Match this number with the compatibility details listed in the product description. If you're unsure, you can also compare the size and shape of your current element to the replacement options.

• Look for diameter measurements (like 6", 8", or 12")
• Check if your stove uses coil or radiant elements
• Review the connector type

If you need extra help, Walmart's customer service can assist with product compatibility questions.

Coil elements are the traditional exposed metal coils you see on many electric stoves, while radiant elements are flat and sit under a smooth glass cooktop.

• Coil elements heat up quickly and are easy to replace, but can be harder to clean.
• Radiant elements provide even heat and a sleek look, but require compatible cookware and careful cleaning to avoid scratching the glass.

Choosing between them depends on your stove type and cooking preferences. Always check your appliance manual for the correct replacement type.

Before installing a new burner element, unplug your stove or turn off the circuit breaker to avoid electrical hazards. Let the cooktop cool completely. For coil elements, gently pull out the old element and align the new one with the socket. For radiant elements under glass, installation may require removing screws or panels—refer to your appliance manual for step-by-step instructions.

• Wear gloves to protect your hands
• Handle glass cooktops with care

If you’re not comfortable with installation, consider seeking help from a qualified technician.

For coil elements, unplug them and wipe with a damp cloth once cool. Avoid submerging electrical parts in water. For radiant elements under glass, clean the cooktop surface with a soft cloth and a cleaner made for glass surfaces.

• Don’t use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals
• Let everything cool before cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain performance and appearance. Always follow your appliance’s care instructions for best results.

Walmart offers a variety of burner elements compatible with many older and newer stove models.

• Check your stove’s model number and compare it with the compatibility list in the product details
