Choosing the right size bug screen is all about measuring your door or window accurately. Start by measuring the width and height of the opening you want to cover. Compare your measurements to the product's listed dimensions, making sure the screen will fit or slightly overlap for a secure seal. Many screens are adjustable or come in standard sizes, so double-check the fit before purchasing. If you're unsure, look for screens labeled as adjustable or universal, which can be trimmed or expanded to match your space.

Most magnetic screen doors are designed for easy, DIY installation.

• You'll typically need to clean the door frame first.
• Then, use the included adhesive strips or tacks to attach the screen to the frame.
• Follow the instructions provided with your product for best results.

Keeping your bug screen clean helps it last longer and look better.

1. Gently remove the screen from the door or window, if possible.
2. Use a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
3. For deeper cleaning, wipe the mesh with a damp cloth and mild soap.
4. Let it air dry completely before reinstalling.

Many mesh bug screens are designed to be pet and kid friendly. The magnetic closures allow for easy hands-free entry and exit, so children and pets can pass through without trouble. However, it's a good idea to supervise young children and teach pets how to use the screen gently to avoid accidental damage. Always check the product details for any specific safety features or recommendations.

If your bug screen gets a tear or hole, there are a few options.

• Small holes can often be patched with repair kits or adhesive mesh patches, which are available at Walmart.
• For larger damage, you may need to replace the mesh or the entire screen, depending on the product design.
