Make any wall switch automatic with the versatile AutoChron wireless timer. Now you can control your overhead lights or outdoor lights automatically from a toggle wall switch with no need for rewiring. The AutoChron is fully programmile - you can set it to turn lights off at the same time each day, different times or different days - or even different times on the same day. The AutoChron lets you vary on/off times so that anyone watching your house can tell whether you're home or away. You don't get that security with any manual timer. Just as important, the AutoChron doesn't "plug into" your devices directly so even if there is a power outage, the AutoChron won't lose its power and will continue to operate as you set it when the power comes back on. Conventional manual timers stop working when there is a power outage so the "on/off" times are lost. The AutoChron installs easily over any toggle wall switch cover. You can put an AutoChron in every room where there is a wall switch and have total control over your overhead lights, fans, etc. You'd have to pay an electrician thousands of dollars to do the same thing. Fantastic, simple timer device
This is really a cool device. No wires required. Remove one screw from the existing switch plate and this fits right over the plate. The timer mechanically moves the switch up and down - so simple. You can program each day of the week separately or in groups with up to 10 changes per day. Works on 2 AA batteries. Great for controlling outdoor lights that work from an indoor switch.

Great product...batteries not included.
Bought this so I could save electricity from my motion sensor porch light. It would go on and off during the day...evening...night...and it was too inconvenient to have to remember to turn the switch on or off. This thing works great. I had contemplated purchasing another Switchmate for this problem, but while theirs works...it tends to not be totally reliable because it holds magnetically. This one, screws into one of the outlet cover screw slots. The only CON for the product is that it doesn't come with batteries and the product packaging doesn't tell you this. When I bought it, I thought that it was a hardwire until I opened that package when it arrived. It requires two (2) new alkaline batteries. The use of NiCad batteries will void the warranty according to the instructions.
