Overall these are great bar stools! Comfortable, adjustable, and just the right height. Love the footrest. I do wish the base was a little heavier but they are easy to pick up and move around. I bought four and it wasn't until the second one where I realized there is a small step missing on the instructions. In order for you to make the seat go up and down, you need to remove the black cap on the pole to reveal the orange button. It never mentions it in step 2.
