I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a knife set. It comes with a knife sharpener built right into the block. It also comes with a bonus set of shears. They're really sharp and smaller than the set in the block. I would definitely buy another set of McCook knives for myself or a gift. These were actually a gift, but my husband let me choose the set I wanted and after shopping several brands these were the ones I chose
