I love my Admotor E53 E-bike.

I purchased my Addmotor E-53 E-bike about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I rode a motorcycle for 20 years and due to two spinal fusion surgeries, had to give up riding. After about one year after my last surgery I purchased this E-bike to get back on the road on two wheels and I am having a ball. It was fun to assemble and I am making additions to the bike to make it my own. I did change the saddle because I was used to having the large motorcycle seat. I am counting on regaining some of the strength in my legs that I lost from my spinal problems and I feel it is working. I contacted the support staff a couple times with questions and they were very helpful. I am 80 years old.

E53 is an awesome cruiser from an awesome company!

The E53 is a truly awesome commuter and recreational bike. The bike is very solid and uses the Altus derailleur system which is mountain bike rated. It comes with hydraulic disc brakes and a 20 AHr battery. It accelerates very smoothly, like a Lexus, and is not torquey like a number of competitor ebikes we tested. I put nearly 40 miles and the battery still shows full charge. We bought the E53 through Walmart incase there were issues which the only problem was a bent derailleur guard and derailleur hanger from shipping. We contacted Walmart and within minutes Addmotor responded. We exchanged pictures and they sent a new derailleur hanger and refunded the service charge from our local bike shop. They did this without questions asked. We initially ordered two bikes, one for myself and one for my wife. Within two hours after we placed the order they texted us to confirm the correct bike size. Since my wife was shorter than the E43 profile, they recommended she choose a different bike. The bike came a week early. Addmotor is a very good company to deal with and they sell very good quality bikes. Our local bike shop was very impressed with the quality, components and price. Thank you, Addmotor!

Didn't work as shipped.

NOT RECOMMENDED! When unpacked, the derailleur was so out of adjustment it wouldn't select any gear on the rear sprocket. Finally got it into 3rd gear so I could ride it to the bike shop for repair, but by then the Addmotor warranty on mechanical components had expired (30 days after date of sale, that is, about three weeks after the bike arrived). May have been damaged in shipping? No bike weighing 80 lbs should be shipped in a cardboard box with only a few styrofoam strips to to protect it! And certain sentences in the owners mannual (needed for assembly) are surely not written in anything resembling English! Otherwise it's a sturdy bike with lots of power from a pleasingly strong electric motor. Too bad! Addmotor has work to do!
