Use for flat lining and dipsy rod holders

Using these for Walleye and Salmon fishing. Fit the same holder as my power lock units however the locking aspect of the side / deck mount is better as it doesn't pull up then when lifting sometimes. You can lock these in the down position so if having problems lifting out make sure the release is open. When removing rod pull up on both sides of the rod at the same time. Quick and easy. If you try to lift out with just one side it won't open on purpose as you don't want a huge fish to release the rod. I use for dipsy and flatlining where I need to get the rod out quickly. For my planner board rods I run the Powerlock versions and really like these. Tips on running Dipsy rods. Loosen drag till it slips and then tighten just a tad so the waves don't always make it slip. Big King hits and record for to make your best alarm clock sound as they rip line off. Flat lines not normally needed but nice to pull up and start reeling in. I have 6 power lock and 3 Orca (looking to get the 4th shortly) so I can have 10 rods on my boat plus 2 more on downriggers (4 if stacked). Salmon fishing 9-12 rod spread on a just shy of 20' walleye boat with 4 on board. Nice to have a few extra rod holders when moving rods around while bringing in a fish also. I have these mounted on Crestliners Sure Mount system and works great. No concerns on either the holders or mount system. Friend trolls for Musky with his as well. Both Kings and Musky are hard fighting fish and no concerns from me.

Heavy duty. A little awkward to adjust but I am fully satisfied with purchasing. Received package satisfactory with no damage. You will have to purchase mounting fasteners/hardware.
