Although I like this kit it is not great for a beginner. The instructions are vaguer than they should be in parts and they don't give you enough supplies to make than tree in the photo, they also sent me a small bag of the wrong color beads. Luckily, I do a lot of crafting, so I had plenty of beads and wire to add to it.

THIS was supposed to be simple, beginner-friendly, and apparently even suitable for children as long as they're supervised while using the wire cutters. 😲😳🤦🏻‍♀️ What age children are we talking about here?! Because I'm a grown woman, an experienced crafter, and I needed backup. 😂 Anywho... This was NOT simple by any stretch of the imagination. The finished tree pictured in the listing is absolutely beautiful, and the kit itself comes with a generous assortment of beads, ornaments, wire, support pieces, a base, lights, and a topper. I was genuinely excited to put it together. Then I opened the directions. 😑 Even by ChatGPT standards, these things read like old-school Japanese stereo instructions translated into English three times and then printed without anybody actually attempting to build the tree from them. SMH. The instructions tell you to cut wire into various lengths and make small, medium, and long branches, but give very little useful guidance about how many of each size you need, which decorative pieces belong where, or exactly how you're supposed to construct the branches shown in those tiny illustrations. And then there's the wire. The instruction sheet specifically identifies the included wire stems as “blue or silver.” The listing describes “flocked snow coated branches” and says the artificial snow flocking creates a realistic winter snow scene. What I received is GREEN WIRE. Not blue. Not silver. Not flocked. Just bundles of plain green wire that I am apparently supposed to transform into the snowy, full-looking branches shown in the product photos. 😑🤦🏻‍♀️ That is a pretty substantial difference when the entire appeal of this particular tree is supposed to be its snowy winter appearance. The listing also describes a clear, “layer-by-layer” assembly process that helps beginners follow the project. There is a process buried in those directions somewhere, but the word clear is doing some Olympic-level heavy lifting. The materials themselves actually seem nice, and I still think the finished tree has the potential to be gorgeous. There are plenty of pretty beads and decorative pieces, and I like having some freedom to customize their placement. But this is not a beginner project unless the beginner is unusually patient, comfortable improvising, and possibly accompanied by an engineer, an interpreter, and a stiff drink. 😂 I haven't finished the tree yet, so I'll reserve judgment on the final result. But the manufacturer desperately needs to rewrite these instructions, provide quantities and measurements for the different branches, clearly show which components are used at each stage, and make sure the instructions and listing actually correspond to what arrives in the box. Because “make lots of branches in different lengths and bead combinations” isn't an instruction. That's a suggestion. 😑🌲😂
