This ice machine makes wonderful pellets of ice. when using, and it comes with a bag so that you can put it in the freezer for long lasting storage. its kind of noisy but most counter top ice machines are. i would suggest emptying it in a bag and storing in the freezer after each cycle as pellet ice typically melts quickly due to the flakey quality.
