HIWEAVER 9' x 18' Black/Brown Outdoor Rug PP Plastic Straw Woven Waterproof Patio Rug with Border Portable Outside Carpet for Balcony Deck Picnic Garden Decor

I got this rug for my patio, and it tied everything together. The pattern is modern without being too busy, and the gray and white colors work well with any outdoor furniture. It's exactly what I was looking for. The rug feels well-made and so far it's held up great with my dogs and great outdoors. It made my patio feel much more finished and inviting. If you're looking for an outdoor rug that looks great and adds some style to your space, I definitely recommend this one.

I got this 8' x 10' outdoor rug because my deck was looking tired and splintery, and I wanted something to define the seating area without spending a fortune. The black and gray geometric pattern looked like it would hide dirt and coordinate with my gray furniture. The waterproof claim sold me because my deck gets morning dew and occasional rain. The first thing I noticed when I unrolled it is the strong plastic smell. Like a new shower curtain mixed with a pool float. I left it outside in the sun for two full days and the smell faded to almost nothing. By day three, I could only smell it if I put my nose right on the rug. The size is accurate. 8' x 10' covered the area under my outdoor couch, two chairs, and a coffee table with room to spare. The rug laid flat immediately. No curled edges or stubborn creases from being folded. The border detail gives it a more finished look than a plain mat. Here is what you absolutely need to know before buying. This rug is made of woven plastic straw. It is not soft. Walking on it with bare feet feels like walking on a stiff doormat or a bristly welcome mat. It's fine with shoes or sandals, but if you like going barefoot on your deck, this rug will annoy you. My kids refused to walk on it without shoes. The waterproof claim is true. I left it out during a heavy thunderstorm and water beaded up on the surface. The next morning I tilted one corner and the water ran off. No puddles soaked through to the deck underneath. The rug dried within an hour of the sun coming out. The black and gray pattern does a great job hiding dirt. I dropped coffee, tracked in mud, and had a bird leave a present on it. Everything wiped up with a hose or a wet paper towel. No stains remained. The black areas haven't faded noticeably after a month of direct afternoon sun. My one complaint is that the rug is lightweight and will blow around in strong wind. I had a gusty day and found the whole thing folded over itself. I put furniture on all four corners and that solved the problem. You could also use rug tape or stakes. The edges are finished but feel a little rough. I caught my sandal on the edge once and tripped slightly. Not a huge deal but worth noting. I'm hoping the UV doesn't break down the plastic over time. The rug feels durable now but cheap plastic can get brittle in the sun. I'll probably bring it inside during the winter months. Good for patios, decks, campers, picnics, or anywhere you need a tough outdoor rug and don't plan to walk on it with bare feet. Tough, waterproof, hides dirt, feels like a Brillo pad for your soles
