This type of booties are hard to find. They are just right to right to fit inside of my flippers while protecting my ankles from rubbing by said flippers. When I am walking around, it allows me to walk on all sorts of surfaces without causing injuries to my feet. (Surfaces include - rough rock, oyster bars, hot sand, hot asphalt and other materials that are hard on the feet.) I like the construction materials because they are pliable and sturdy. The side zipper makes putting them on and taking them off a snap. They may look funny, but the comfort for my feet out ways that factor. They are very comfortable to wear on the beach.
