We emailed the company and begged them to ship it sooner. It arrived 5 days before Christmas. Assembly wasn't difficult. The battery seems to charge fairly quickly and it's an awesome toy! Definitely a great price for what you get. I think this will be an everyday item in our household. I did want to point out how awesome the customer service was too though. Not only did they do that early shipping for us free of charge, they even contacted us after delivery to make sure we received everything and if we needed us anything else.
