I was surprised to like this item as much as I do. Paris Hilton is not someone whose taste I would rely on. But this crock is larger than I expected, and it's a nice heavy piece of pottery or earthenware, I'm not sure about that. The white glaze is smooth and it has a lovely over glaze so it shimmers like a bubble. I didn't buy it for the kitchen, I needed it to fill a small table in a corner with some silk flowers in it. I'm happy with this, and I'd recommend it. We were married on Valentines Day, I have hearts everywhere.
