I bought one of these last year as a Christmas gift for my parents on 12/24/24. It started off great-we really enjoyed the nugget ice. However, starting in August, the machine started making a grinding/screeching noise that progressively got worse, so I bought a second one on October 10th for my parents to use while I worked through troubleshooting the issue. I went through the cleaning process from the instructions, but it did not fix the issue, so I started the warranty process. They emailed me a case number where I had to attach pictures, the invoice, and a video of the issue. Their response was that I needed to pay to ship the actual ice machine to a warehouse in CA. In the meantime, the new machine I just bought in October has started making the same grinding/screeching noise (it is now the end of November). Based on this experience, I would NOT recommend purchasing this machine. It does not appear to be durable, and the warranty process is not customer-friendly. (I wish Walmart would allow video clips in their reviews. This thing sounds awful!)

Not helpful – avoid this seller. I purchased an ice maker from them and it was a complete disappointment. When the product stopped working, they kept referring me to the third-party warranty I purchased. The warranty company said because the unit is less than a year old, the seller is responsible. After a couple of back-and-forth questions, the warranty provider also told me they could no longer help. I was left stuck with a faulty product and no support. Very frustrating experience – save yourself the hassle and avoid this seller.
