Super smart purchase.

This is an amazing invention and tool! Super easy assembly. The only drawback is the rubber wheels stink so horribly, I had to store it out back in the sunshine hoping the smell would dissipate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Design flaw

The truck arrived as promised but the packaging it was in was demolished. The cardboard box was flimsy and crushed. Luckily the truck appeared to be unscathed. The function of the truck leaves something to be desired. It is cumbersome and does not pivot, making turning a matter of dragging rather than rolling. The metal on the wheels literally drags on the stairs and when you get to the top of the stair where the wood floor begins it scrapes the wood floor. Not good. Making the tires just 1" bigger would have eliminated this problem. I bought this to alleviate stress while moving things up and down basement stairs. I don't think it does that much more than an ordinary dolly would. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not What We Need

We needed something to help take boxes of chemical jar retains up and down stairs along with lab waste drums/jugs and new bottles of analytical reagents. It came in a large blank beat up box and I wasn't sure what it was at first, no labeling or instructions or packaged materials. The rod for the wheels had to inserted into the dolly and didn't' fit until after extensive bludgeoning. The two cheap little pins that seat the wheels to the axel are likely to break at any time and the frame of the dolly itself is just too heavy and could pull you down the stairs all by itself even before adding a load. It was a nice safety idea but it won't help for what we need. If you need to haul furniture or heavy equipment up and down stairs this may be good for you if you strap material down well and use better set pins for the wheels. Ideally for what we need would be a lite frame taller handle and a cage actually to place items in vs the flat bar design here.
