This toaster meets our needs. Toasts evenly. I like the simple basic features. The dial to select the doneness has to be set at the maximum setting to get the results we like. Sometimes, I repeat the toasting cycle to achieve the doneness we like. I need to use tongs to get the toast out.

Cuisinart is a good brand, so of course the toaster is good, handsome, and well made. My only problem is that if the piece of bread I insert is not big enough, the toaster does not pop it up enough for me to grab it. Instead, I have to get hot mits and reach in to pull it up.

Cuisinart Toaster CPT-160P1
Thru trial and tribulation, the CPT-160 toaster is not meant for toasting single pieces of bread. Unfortunately, the replacement for my original purchase was the same model with the same problems!? Only one side gets toasted and isn't uniform. Either the corners are untoasted or it's toasted in the middle of the bread. I'm sure toasting two slices of bread will have the same results, as I've switched slots... to no avail.
