It is laminated particle board, but very sturdy and looks great. Especially for the price. Definitely recommend over the other brands you can find on the market. The dowels are plastic and seem to be less likely to break than the wooden ones. The shelf compartments are bigger than the other brands too. The top, bottom shelf, and the sides are thick. Overall, a great product! Will purchase again if ever in need of another bin shelf organizer.

The items are exactly what I expected and work well for my needs. I knocked a star off my rating because of the delivery. It arrived on time but I asked for it to be left on the porch. Items were left leaning against the side of my garage. These are laminate furniture items and it was raining. Luckily I was able to drag them into the garage before the boxes soaked and the items were damaged.
