It is exactly what I wanted. assesmbly can be challenging solo. Two people can put the together far more easily. Each square is separate and pinned to the square nect to it like a grid when viewing from above. I'm sure it is put together that way so that the stress from weight above passes through the shelves from top to bottom rather than side to side which can cause buckling across. Once put together it looks very nice. I have hardwood floors so it is necessary to put felt stoppers on the bottom so the edges won't scratch up my floor. The dowels are nylon so they can bend or even snap if handled incorrectly. Cam bolts might make for a sturdier piece of furniture but for the price it is a decent piece of furniture.

The items are exactly what I expected and work well for my needs. I knocked a star off my rating because of the delivery. It arrived on time but I asked for it to be left on the porch. Items were left leaning against the side of my garage. These are laminate furniture items and it was raining. Luckily I was able to drag them into the garage before the boxes soaked and the items were damaged.

I would love to recommend this, but it was missing one piece and the only solution I was given was to take the item apart and bring it back to the store for a refund. So it's not quite sturdy bc it's missing a piece. But I wasn't going to do that. I would give it 4 stars if it had all the pieces or if they could have sent me the missing piece.
