Great value for the money!

At first I was skeptical. I mean, why would you want one of these things that take up counter space when you have an oven? Then I did some research on air fryers and discovered that they work differently than traditional ovens. They circulate hot air at high velocity in order to crisp food on the outside, while keeping it tender on the inside. I saw this one on sale and believe me it is a must have appliance in the kitchen, if you like fried food. My oil fryer always produced lack-luster results. French fries and potato wedges always came out soggy and full of oil. This air fryer uses no oil and the results are amazing. I have never tasted potatoes cooked so good. I would highly recommend this air fryer to anyone who likes fried foods without the guilt of using oil!

I have done all the research for you

ok, I have researched this to depth for hours, days and weeks that I feel like consumer reports...i should work for them. My pick and ultimate favorte and best is Farberware. I have tried the instant pot, Ninja, Power XL,, GoWise USA, Cuisenar and Pilips. The Farberware is built like a tank and is extremely well designed and simple and quality is the best. All but this one had issues with teflon, peeling, rusting and the temperatures not actually being what you set it to when I testwd each with a thermometer... yeah shocking.

Great air fryer - comparison to 3.2 quart version

I am very happy with this air fryer. I have owned the Farberware 3.2 quart version of this air fryer for 3 years and it is still going strong. I liked everything about the smaller one except its size. With 5 people at our house, using the small air fryer meant cooking in batches. I decided to upgrade to a larger air fryer, and spent literally weeks shopping for one online. I became so frustrated I almost gave up. Most descriptions and reviews don't give size details, so I am doing it for you - hopefully this will make your search easier. I am including photos of the 3.2 quart and this 5.3 quart air fryer side by side for comparison. The 5.3 is larger, but still fits easily under my cabinets. Another photo compares the baskets: the 3.2 quart basket is about 8 inches in diameter while the 5.3 quart basket is about 10 inches in diameter. Many of the other air fryers I looked at had "larger" baskets that were deeper but not much, if any, larger in diameter. This larger basket is a bit "square" with rounded corners which will be useful when cooking larger items. The digital controls are easy to use and this larger version seems to cook just as well as my older, smaller one. The best part is the price - $60 for this large air fryer. It really is well made and as I said, I've owned the Farberware 3.2 quart for 3 years with frequent use (3 - 5 times per week) and it is still in great condition.
