Reliance Water Jug Spigot

I have an older model Reliance water container but this spigot fit just fine. My older model became brittle and broke when I tightened it too much. It broke on a recent camping trip. My advice is to be careful when inserting the spigot into the container cap. If you do not get a comfortable seal with the spigot in the vertical position, do not force it another turn if it is very tight. It is better to wrap the threads of the spigot with several turns of plumber's tape. I did this and it worked fine. I ordered this replacement spigot and it was good that I did. I used it during Hurricane Matthew last week and I had 7 gallons of potable water on-hand that, thankfully I didn't need, but it was good to be prepared. I didn't waste the water as I simulated a "no water" situation and used it to flush my toilet multiple times.

I needed this to replace a spigot I had broken. Cap and spigot were exact replacements for the broken parts. The kit came with parts for the two different style relief caps used on these containers as well. I have stashed these in my spares box. Very pleased with purchase and recommend for anyone needing replacements or wanting to have spares available.
