Pull the back up take a side and slide it over the big button and push down, again on the other side, and then connect the hoses and wires. I'd say 30 min total. Have not read the manual yet but so far everyone in my family loves the chair. For under a thousand bucks it is a super buy. Order it if you want a chair like this. You will be happy with it.

Wonderful massage chair I liked how the chair had different settings to choose from and you are able to set a timer for how long you want to keep it going. I also liked how the cost for this massage chair was more reasonable than others I have been looking at.
