Cozy, Soft and Warm!

I'm totally in love with this yarn1 The stitch definition is amazing and precise. My first swatch was so lovely I didn't want to stop knitting with it I used a size 10 needle and it was absolutely perfect. I loved it so much that the hat hat I intended inspired me to make a sweater, and a shawl, and........well, just so much more. The colors are soft and "natural" and dep in the darker shades. Wish there were more but who needs more when these are so lovely. It knits quickly and is a joy in the hands. Bonus is, even though Lincoln wool is notorious for being itchy, there is no itch with this blend. Nothing like a good wool for warmth! As a hand spinner I know my wool and this is fabulous.

Not happy with Lincoln Fog

I usually like Patons yarns. I ordered 3 colours of Lincoln Fog- despite being able to find any reviews which I usually check first. First, the good- the colours are very nice. I ordered Bark (brown), Wisteria (pink), and Limestone (a natural/cream). The brown is super itchy and irritates my neck. I put one stripe in a cowl and can feel it! And frogging it would be a bear, just undoing the yarn barf when I started a center pull was like undoing Velcro. Due to the fuzzy nature I guess. The pink ball is like a different yarn, so much thinner than the other two, It is like a worsted #4 weight instead of the bulky #5 it is supposed to be. I wish I could put a picture in here , but it isn't giving me the option. The cream colour is again different than the others, it doesn't have much of a halo at all. (On the other hand it seems less irritating in feel). I don't even know what I can do with this yarn. Disappointed.
