Directions only have pictures . I had a little trouble getting the top piece on and had to have help with it. Play pen works great for the baby BUT fyi…. Get a thicker mat to go in the bottom. The one that comes with it is just a piece of fabric with a little quilting to it. If using on a floor with no carpet a better mat is needed.
