I have a Maine Coon feline. He is about 17 pounds, and only 19 months old. He has outgrown his other tree, and simply couldn't find a place that was his to lay on comfortably. This, he can actually stretch out, and not have his legs crossed, and hanging over a higher ledge. This has the wonderful front cut away that allows him to stretch out, and let his legs not be cramped. His Back is along two full sides, and part of the shorter third and forth. He is so happy, he plays on it, lays on it, jumps on it, etc. lol. He fits below, in the opening, and hides in there waiting to pounce on his feline friends. lol. It is very very sturdy, and came fully put together. Carpet is of great quality, and installed great. The sisal scratching posts is of wonderful quality, no smell, and he can scratch to his heart's content. It fits beautifully in the corner, below window level, and butts up against my other cat tree. My cats jump from this to their other tree, and back, running, playing hard. It is solid, doesn't move, and after just a few days use, is very very loved. My older cat, who would never play on the other cat tree, loves this one. He hides below, or on the bottom level. He is plump, and easily enters and leaves. He can stretch out, relax, and not be cramped. Both cats are on this almost continually. A new nap place, or just their own furniture. They still curl up, and sleep, however their real pleasure on their face is when they stretch. Having such a huge cat breed, I looked for this type product for over 3 months. One that was big enough for my boys, yet something that was quality made. This fits those qualifiers. If you have a larger cat, make their day, buy this for them, and know they will love you for it.
